Took Too Many Toheroas; Fined

For taking 50 toheroas from a Dargavillc beach, instead of the 30 permitted by law, A. C. Chcrmside and Charles Arnold Franks were each £2 with 10 / - costs by Mr W. C. Harley, S.M., at the Whangarei Court yesterday.

Gerard for accused, who pleaded guilty. a Mr Johnson said the men, who were in a party of four, were seen carrying 205 toheroas from the beach. said when apprehended that they intended to count out the 50 each and return the rest to the beach.
