Injured By Tennis Net
Running into the net while playing tennis yesterday, Patricia Whatford, aged 14, of Hikurangi, was catapulted backward and struck her head on the asphalt court. She was admitted to the Whangarei Hospital yesterday in a serious condition, suffering from severe concussion and cerebral haemorrhage. Her condition this morning was reported to show a slight improvement. Struck by a motor car near the Whangarei Hospital, where she is employed, Mrs Marjorie Danahar, aged 20, received cuts and abrasions. Her condition is satisfactory.
