Otaika
The Otaika Women's Mission Guild met last Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs A. Morgan. The president (Mrs J. Middleton) presided. A very pleasant meeting concluded with the serving of afternoon tea by the hostess. The Otaika school was reopened on Monday by the new headmistress, Mrs Hay, who replaces the recent headmaster, Mr Butcher. Mr Jack Magee has entered the teaching profession and is in charge of a school on D’Urville Island, in Cook Strait. Mrs Morgan senr has returned from Whakapara, where she stayed with her daughter, Mrs Brown.
