No Larsding at Onerahi

Operative for the first time on the Northland run, the International Instrument Flying Regulations resulted in the southbound plane being unable to land at Onerahi. The regulations specify the minimum height of ceiling and visibility at which a plane may fly without going on to radio-controlled flight. Under normal conditions, the plane could have landed quite safely.
