Chinese Attitude To American Aid
NANKING, Wed. (11 a.m.)—'The Chinese. Government, anticipating United States aid with alternate hope , and apprehension, today made known , its attitude that any assistance condi- ! tional upon special provisions would not be welcomed in Nanking. The Foreign Minister (Wang Shin Chieh) told the Kuomintang’s central Political Council that -China will ap- ! predate aid only when, there are no j strings attached to it.
