AUCKLAND. Sentence of three years’ imprisonment was passed by Mr Justice Fair yesterday on Ernest Odiot Phelan, labourer, 57, who had been convicted of indecent assault on a male at Otahuhu. In a statement to the court prisoner admitted his guilt, and made a plea for probation. He said he was about to get married again. His Honor said the public interest had been • well served by the disclosure of prisoner's character and conduct. , -- * * V
