Catholics Absolved From 1948 Fasts
LONDON. Wed. (1 fr.m.)—The Roman Catholic Church has decreed that Catholics may again, during 1948, dispense with the observance of fast and abstinence except on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday, says the British United Press Vatican City correspondent.
Discontinuance of fasts was permitted during the war because of worldwide hardships.
