KAITAIA. rhu. (Sp.)— Following the holiday recess, the Mangonui Cricket Association’s interclub senior competition will be resumed on Saturday, marking the commencement of the second round. At the end of the first round, Maungataiorc was leading the field with 22 points after five games, with Victoria Valley second with 17 points from five games. Positions of other teams were: Kaitaia, 15 points, four games; Nomads, 14 points, four games; Peria, 11 points, live games; Awanui, 5 points, five games. Saturday’s draw, with home teams first; Peria v. ICaitaia; Victoria Valley v. Maungataiore; Awanui v. Nomads. The junior :ompetition was abandoned owing io the infantile paralysis outbreak, with teams in the following positions: Peria. ill points, four games; Maungataiore. 1C points, three games; Nomads. G points, four games; Kaitaia Scouts, 2 points, three games. Three teams are likely for a competition for players under 16, Kaitaia, Nomade and Scouts joining forces for a team, with Maungataiore and Peria finding two.
