Arriving in Auckland by flyingboat today will be the Nuffield Professor of Surgery at Oxford and consulting neuro-surgeon to the British Army, Sir Hugh Cains. An eminent brain surgeon, he is undertaking a tour of New Zealand and Australia as the first travelling professor under the Sims Commonwealth Endowment scheme.
The following Northland candidates were successful in the „ Chartered Institute of Secretaries, New Zealand branch, examinations held in September, 1947: —Final section completed— Whangarei: J. li., Garland. Dargaville, I. J. Mason.
