Communists In Rio
RIO DE JANIERO, Thu. (1 p.m.).— The police fought an hour-long battle with guns and tear gas and seriously wounded four Communists today before closing up the Communist newspaper Imprensa Popular. The Communists defied the law passed by the Chamber of Deputies last night banning Communists from Brazilian legislative bodies. They refused to stop the presses when the police arrfved at the plant at daybreak to enforce the Government suspension order.
