PALMERSTON N.— Firev broke out >in the Lortfburn wool store of the Cooperative Wholesale Society’s freezing works last night. Prompt action by gangs of night-shift workers suppressed the blaze and the damage is not thought to have been great. Believed* to have started through spontaneous combustion in the wool, 'the fire was first noticed at 9.10 p.m. when flames broke through the roof of the bunding.—(Sp.) * I *' *
