PROBATE GRANTED The Supreme Court has granted probate to the Public Trustee of the wills of Edward Russell, of Whangarei, retired farmer, and William Ralph Cochrane, of Whangarei, service station employee. ROAD CAMPAIGN The campaign to have the WaipuWaipu Cove-Lang's Beach road declared a main highway continues to meet with a good response. Mr A. Y. Provan reported today that he had received promises totalling £SOO, to be paid when the state takes the desired action. The campaign will close on January 19. HEAVY TRAFFIC Travel south from Whangarei has been very heavy over the past week, and transport services have been booked to capacity.
