Vice-Regal Visit To Dunedin
DUNEDIN. Sat. (P.A.) Arrangements are being completed for the visit to Dunedin during its centennial celebrations of the Governor-General (Sir Bernard Freyberg) and Lady Freyberg, who will grrive on February 20 and will stay in Dunedin until March 29.
Many organisations have made apnlications for Sir Bernard and Lady Freyberg to be present at functions, but those so far announced as bemg under Vice-Regal patronage consist only of the Cavalcade of Progress procession on February 24, at which Sir Bernard will lake the salute, and the St John Ambulance Brigade investiture at First Church on February 29.
Two investitures will be held during March. A Vice-Regal ball will be held on March 18 and a Vice-Regal garden party will also be given during Their Excellencies' stay in Dunedin.
Sir Bernard and Lady Freybei'g will live at Corstorphme. the residence of Lady Sidey.
