Urges Development Of Tourist Traffic WELLINGTON, Fri. (Sp.l— If New Zealand was to develop its tourist traffic it would have to give similar service to that offered in the United States, said Mr D. H. Todd, of Todd Motors, Ltd., in Wellington yesterday. Shops in the United States were generally open for longer hours than in New Zealand and in even the smaller towns tourists and local residents could obtain meals at any time of the day or night. With conditions in Europe very unsettled at present, it seemed a very good time to develop the tourist traffic to this country, said Mr Todd. A few aeroplanes flying constantly between the Dominion and the United States would carry a great many people, who would bring in \ many much-needed dollars.
