Auckland Team For Plunked Shield
AUCKLAND, Thu. (Sp.).—The New Zealand representative batsman W. M. Wallace and J. Hollywood, a mediumpaced bowler at present on tour with the Auckland colts’ team, have been included in the Auckland Plunket Shield cricket team chosen for the final match of the season against Wellington, which begins at Eden Park tomdrrow. J. Cowie is unavailable, owing to a knee injury, Kayes replaces him. Wallace and Hollywood have been selected in place of A. C. PLOberts and C. A. Snedden, both of whom toured with the team In the South Island.
The team, as announced last night by Mr D. R. Garrard, chairman of the Auckland association’s selection committee, is as followes: H. T. Pearson (captain), W. M. Wal lace, V. J. Scott, J. A. Hayes, C. C. Burke, D. D. Taylor, K. R. Deas. F. E, Hemmingson, I. Wyatt, L. A. Kent, J. Hollywood. O. C. Cleal twelfth man.
