Korea Given Three Years

SEOUL (Korea), Wed. (11 a.m.).—The drift of events here indicate that the United States may be about to give up the struggle and abandon this pov-erty-ridden country to the people who inhabit it, says the United Press correspondent. No official decision has been reached but this is most likely to come after the nationwide elections to be conducted by the United Nations Commission.

After the Americans withdraw conservative observers say it will not be more than three years until Korea becomes the “seventeenth republic of the USSR.”
