Japs Knew Dangers Of Axis Alliance
TOKIO. Mon.—Japan knew that her alliance with Germany and Italy might lead, to war with the United States and Britain, said Japan’s war,time Prime Minister (Hideki Tojo) at today’s session of the International Military Tribunal for the Fur East. Replying to a question by the chief prosecutor (Mr Joseph Keenan) Tojo said a meeting of the Japanese Privy Council investigating committee at which he was present discussed the possibility of war the day before the Tripartite Pact was signed and also whether sufficient petroleum was available for warships and planes in the event of war. i ’
