S.A. Boy's X-Ray Eyes

CAPETOWN.-—Here is a story ol the eyes of Pieter van Jarrsveld, “the boy with the X-ray eyes,” whose feats in locating buried diamonds, underground streams of water, gold and coal, have astounded inhabitants of SouthWest Africa.

Pieter, who has now been engaged by a gold-mining syndicate to divine minerals, is of normal intelligence, and is a lover of sports and good music. He is most unassuming, and the gift, which he considers as natural, does not swell his head.

His gift was first proved at the age of six when he prevailed upon his father to remove a drilling machine from its original site and locate it elsewhere to get more water. This proved highly successful. He has been submitted to many tests by the Eureka Divining Company of South-West Africa and they have all been successful.
