KAITAIA, Mon. (Sp.).—Kaitaia’s 1947 rainfall was 54.53 in.. compared with 78.79 in. for the previous year. The yearly average is 55.27 in. These figures .were supplied by Mr J. Knox. The December rainfall total was 4.20 in., compared with 2.86 in. for the same month last year. The average for the month is S.lOin. The heaviest fall occurred on December 4 when 1.48 in. was recorded, including ,84in. within If hours.
