Brobin Cup Team Beals Country Reps
AUCKLAND, Mon. (Sp.)—'The Auckland Brabin Cup cricket team defeated the Country Week representative side in a one-day match at Eden Park on Saturday by eight runs. The Auckland team scored 224 runs for nine wickets in 212 minutes, and the spectators were treated to a bright display of batting by Country as it attempted to pass its opponent’s score in the 178 minutes before stumps. The result was in doubt right until the final over when the 10th Country wicket fell. Scores: —
