AUCKLAND, Tue. (P.A.)—“Our work is nothing to be ashamed of. It is quite up to world standard,” said Mr J. T. Gilkison, engineer in charge of the Waikato hydro-electric construction works who has returned from a visit to the United States and Canada where he studied dam construction. The United States and Canada were experiencing an electricity shortage, but the position was not so acute as in New Zealand.
