Treason Trial In Warsaw
WARSAW. Wed. <lO a.m.)— Allegations that the British and United States Embassies received information from the underground movement which sought to overthrow the Polish Government by force were made at the opening of the trial of Mrs Maria Marynowska, former translator for the British Embassy, another woman and five men.
They are accused of high treason and espionage. The indictment alleges that information was given to Mr Victor Caven-dish-Bentinck and Mr Arthur Bliss Lane, British and United States Ambassadors at Warsaw until 1947. and the British and American military attaches.
