Painted Pavement
The ’ casual shopper in Cameron Street. Whangarei, might be excused for thinking that a sheep had been butchered on the footpath. Closer investigation, however, shows that the puddle is roof paint which i had been dropped from a verandah on to the footpath. Superstitious folk will be saying: "I told you so. ’ for weeks. 1 That painter's ladder should have been avoided like the plague. Even a coating of sawdust- did not conceal the evidence of the effect of gravity and a moment’s carelessness.
