DARGAyiLL-F- An assurance"' that when there was an expansion of trade in the Kaipara arrangements would be made to reappoint a harbourmaster, was given by the Minister of Marine (Mr Hackett) when replying to a protest made by the Dargaville Chamber of Commerce against the transfer of the harbourmaster and launch from Dargaville. The launch Revenge, under the charge of the district inspector of fisheries at WKakapirau. would still be available for any necessary harbour work and the department- had .made arrangements for the maintenance of the lights apd buo.y,s. —(Sp.)
