MADRID, Fri. >1 p.m.)—The Spanish Government, in a Note passed to the British Embassy today, '•energetically protested” against "political plot machinations" in London. The Note alleged that Mr Ernest Bevin was concerned in these "machinations” against Spain. It added that Mr Bevin "connived at an intolerable attempt to interfere in Spain’s internal affairs." The Note protested that Mr Bevin received the Spanish Socialists, Prieto and Robles, in London recently. It said this act showed lack of friendship.
