Northland Total lay Reach £IOOO
Food For Britain
Northland's contribution towards the Food for Britain campaign is expected to reach £ 1000.
To date, £693 has been raised by the various activities since the campaign began, and, with other contributions to come, principally from the art union and amounts from country centres, the total should reach four figures. As a result Miss Northland (Miss Joan Browne) will enter the finals of the competition with the knowledge that, whether she is successful or not in gaining the Miss New Zealand title. Northland has made a worthy contribution to a great cause.
Final judging will be at Wellington early in November.
