Carpenters Object To Rising Prices
<P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. At lunch hour meetings of carpenters in and around Wellington, dissatisfaction with the recent standard wage pronouncement of the Arbitration Court has been expressed. A stricter control of prices was demanded at the meetings, and it was proposed that, failing the achievement of strict price control and further wage increases, the Federation of Labour be called upon to organise a one-day stoppage of work.
