The Posted Lady : 'What A Dog Can Do'
(Rec. 1.30 p.m.) FRANKFURT, Oct. 3. A United States military court at Wiesbaden imposed a fine of £2/10/on Doris Knoblock, who was found yesterday in a box being despatched by air to America. She was charged with attempting illegally to cross the frontier. The court also fined Knoblock’s friend, Fraulein Sigrid Kraft, 25/- for arranging despatch of the box to thqf airfield. Kraft told reporters that she planned to go to America the same way, aftei; reading that a dog had been sent airmail to New York. “What a dog can endure we can endure, too,” she said. (Reports yesterday said an American soldier had arranged transport).
