Arrest Of Alleged Czech Conspirators
(Rec. 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 3. The police today searched the offices of Jan Ursing, deputy-Premier of Czechoslovakia, and arrested the chief of his staff and three of its members in connection with the recent alleged anti-state conspiracy, says Reuters Prague correspondent. Over 100 arrests have already been made. It is stated that Ursing, who is a member of the Slovak Democrat Party, was not personally involved. The Commissioner for the Interior (General Ferencik) announced the arrest of 55 more alleged conspirators today. , . ~ General Ferencik said: “The activity of this group, in view of it comprising intellectuals in leading offices and institutions, and in view of its extent, is serious and dangerous. It has been organised and directed upon instructions from emigres.”
