N.Z. Rep. At Conference
(P.A. > WELLINGTON. This Day. It is unlikely that the Prime Minister himself would be able to represent New Zealand at the Japanese Peace Conference. Mr Fraser indicated this when asked in an interview yesterday whether any decision had been made on the New Zealand representative for the conference. The question would have to be discussed. said Mr Fraser, and an announcement would be made at an early date. He thought the conference would be held in the United States If there was the same cooperation as there had been at the British Commonwealth Conference at Canberra the peace conference was likely to be successful. At Canberra the contributions of the Dominions of India and Pakistan, also the Government of Burma, were of the greatest value. Mr Fraser said the New Zealand representative at the forthcoming Empire economic conference had not yet been decided on, but an announcement would be made early next week.
