140 DOZEN EGGS BROKEN IN ROAD
(PA) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Hundreds of eggs were broken when a truck belonging to the Canterbury Cooperative Distributors, Ltd., collided with a motor car on the corner of Tuam and Montreal Streets, late yesterday afternoon. The impact tipped the truck sideways, and its load of 140 dozen eggs packed in crates fell to the ground. For half an hour after the accident the centre of the intersection was covered with a yellow, frothing mass. Workmen from the City Council spread gravel over the road to make it safe.
Nobody was hurt in the collision.
