Anxiety Felt For Two Deer-Stalkers

(Special.) ROTORUA, This Day. Anxiety is felt for the safety of two Rotorua men who are four days overdue on a deer-stalking trip in the western ranges of the Urewera. They are Mr George Schischka, aged 27, a teacher at the Rotorua High School, of 82 Malfroy Road, and Mr C. H. Kendrick, aged 35, sports goods dealer, of Ha.upapa Street. The men were driven in to the foothills of the ranges near the Horomaunga Stream in the Galatea Valley by Mr H. Kirkness, of the Valuation Department, on Saturday, August 23, and were due out last Thursday.

They carried heavy packs and food for five days. Mr Kendrick is a fairly experienced bushman, but neither of the men has a great knowledge of the country. No search has yet been made.
