N.Z. Plane Lost
LONDON, August 30. The search has been abandoned for a Royal New Zealand Air Force Mosquito aircraft which left England on Monday and crashed in the Gulf of Cutch, in the Arabian Sea. A Dakota made an intensive search and sighted a wing tip in the sea, but a Pakistan sloop failed to find it. The pilot. Flight Lieutenant R. B. Berney, and the navigator, Flight Lieutenant B. J. Beadle, have been officially listed as missing.
