Farm Manager Burned To Death
(P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A farm manager at Mason’s Flats, Waiakari, was burned to death when his bach caught fire early yesterday morning. He was : Mr William Percy Salter, aged about 65, single.
When neighbours discovered the fire at about 3.10, the flames had a strong hold and nothing could be done to save Mr Salter.
He lived alone and was last seen at about 6 p.m. on Saturday, when he had tea at the homestead of his employer, Mrs F. E. Mason.
