Light Plane Does Not Reach Drome
(Rec. 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. A light twin-engined plane, piloted by the president of the Geelong Aero Club (Mr John Meehan), is missing on a flight to Geelong from Sydney, which it left at 11.27 a.m. last Tuesday. *
The plane is a Percival Q-6 low-wing monoplane, and was purchased by Mr Meehan, who is proprietor of Geelong Airways, from Mr W. Stillard, of Cobram, Victoria.
The plane has a range far exceeding the distance between Sydney and Melbourne and it was Mr Meehan’s intention to make trip non-ston.
