(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The aid-for-Britain committee will be known as the Emergency Production and Trade Committee. The chairman (Mr F. P. Walsh) announced this today. It had been decided, he said, to request the appointment of two co-opted members of the Maori race and exservicemen’s organisations respectively, and a number of Government executives as advisory members on matters relating to their departments. In regard to increased fertiliser production a sub-committee had been formed to meet / representatives of fertiliser manufacturers and workers' organisations next Wednesday, with a view to securing an immediate increase in deliveries if at all practicable.

Proposals were discqssed for increasing maize production in the East Coast this coming season. After discussion a depuutation from CORSO willingly agreed to postpone their appeal for famine relief among children throughout the world until aid for Britain had been fully launched.
