Admiralty Welcome For U.S. Widow
Mrs Harriot L. Wilkeson, 69-year-old American widow, known as “Ma” to more than 10,000 ratings of the Royal Navy, whom she entertained during the war, was herself entertained at a tea party given by the First Lord of the Admiralty, Viscount Hall of Cynon Valley, and the Hon. Mrs Hall, daugh-ter-in-law of the First Lord, at Admiralty House. Mrs Wilkeson, in spite of the fact that she has been crippled by an accident, flew to England to renew friendship with as many as possible of the “boys” to whom she had given hospitality in the United States during .the war.
She later left London for Glascow on an itinerary which included visits to Edinburgh, Newcastle-on-Tyne and Manchester
