Maternity Benefit Maximum Now £ls
(Special) WELLINGTON. This Day. The Minister of Health (Miss Howard) announced that maternity benefits have been increased from £ll to £ls for all births on or aftei September 1. The benefit had been paid at the present rate since 1939. The increase has been made to offset rising costs to private and public maternity hospitals.
