Marchbanks The death has occurred of Mr James Marchbanks, former engineer and general manager of the Wellington Harbour Boat'd.
The happiest of the welcomers were six old ladies who waited patiently for a few. words with the man they had known as a boy at Bishop's Court when his father, the Rt Rev. H. H. Montgomery, was Bishop of Tasmania. They were his former nurse, former cook, parlourmaid, governess and professional nurse at Bishop’s Court, and a woman who taught Field-Marshal Montgomery to ride a pony around Hobart. Lord Montgomery’s speech consisted mainly of early reminiscences of Hobart, which were greeted with loud applause.
