Story Of Widows Of U.S. Marines
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day Mr Robert Sherrod, chief Pacific correspondent for Life and Time magazines, who served at Tarawa as a war correspondent and later wrote a book on that battle, has arrived at Wellington to collect material for articles ab'eut New Zealand widows of members of the 2nd Division of the United States Marine Corps. Mr Sherrod said that after his first book was published the interest shown had decided him to illustrate by articles and photographs how widows of American servicemen were living in New Zealand.
