Wrestler Knocks Himself Out, Loses
(Special) AUCKLAND, This Day, When his opponent knocked himself out in the seventh round in a plofessional heavy-weight wrestling contest last night. Lofty Blomfield, 16st 121 b. beat Kay Bell, 17st 31b.
Blomfield began with a lightning fall gained in the first 15 seconds of the first round with a press following a rapid jolt attack. In the fourth round Bel] dazed Blomfield with cuffing and dumped him several times before taking the equalising fall.
In the seventh round, when both contestants were struggling for a fall, Bell flung himself at Blomfield, who twisted sideways. Bell landed on his head and knocked himself unconscious. Blomfield gaining the fall with a press. Bell lay still for about two minutes and then groggily climbed to his feet.
