Advocate’s Competition Requires Accuracy
Answers are still pouring in for the Advocate's Winter Show Competition, which opened last Wednesday.
The first batch was delivered at 8.10 a.m. on Thursday, the morning after the competition opened, and there has been no let up since.
Evidence that during the week-end many people grappled with the code was afforded this morning when the mail box was cleared.
Envelopes of all sizes and colours and from all over the North, have been received from town and country folk alike.
Some people say that the competition is “too easy” and perhaps that is why some entries were received so soon after the opening day. But Beware!
There is more in it that meets the most wary eye. One spelling mistake, a letter left out or put in wrongly, and the cause is lost. Take your time. Be patient and watch, lest you should fall into a trap and forfeit your chances of winning.
Entries for the competition close at 5 o’clock on Monday night, June 28. the correct solution will bo published on Tuesday. June 24, (ho prize winners will be announced on the final night of the Winter Show, which will be on Saturday, June 28.
Extra copies of the Advocate Th which the competition appears are still obtainable.
