No American Buying At London Sale

(Rec. 12.30 p.m.) LONDON. June 13

The third series of London wool sales concluded today, with an offering of 25,996 bales, of which 24.862 were sold.

The catalogue included 10.515 bales from New Zealand and 12.330 from Australia-

The demand was improved, due to Continental interest in the best wools, which were steady, but others were irregular and generally at lower levels. The selection was moderate, but scoured combing skin wool sold up to 56Jd.

Throughout the sales 48,300 bales were offered and 46,000 were sold. The home trade bought 26,000 bales and the Continent 20,000. No purchases were made by America. The market was irregularly easier and competition was moderate. Best wool was about par and inferiors were 5 to 7i and slipes 10 to 15 per cent, lower compared with the last sales.
