Australia Seeks Manus Trusteeship

CANBERRA. This Day Australia was seeking United Nations trusteeship of Manus Island and, under the provisions of trusteeship, would be permitted to fortify it said a Government spokesman. The island is at present held under the New Guinea mandate.
