Missing Man Found Hanging From Tree
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. This Day. A man's body was found yesterday hanging by a leather belt from a branch of a tree on the town belt near j Hataitai. Wellington, by a man whose attention was attracted by the barking of his dog. The body was later identified as that of Arthur Robert Taiapa, married, 51, labourer, of Tikitiki, Gisborne. He had been living at an industrial workers’ camp at the Winter Show Buildings. He had worked in Wellington for two or three years, paying occasional visits to Gisborne. He had been missing for a week, his friends thinking he was visiting Gisborne. A large sum of money was found in his pockets.
