Mr F. Easterbrook has been appointed by the Whangarei County Council to fill the vacancy on the Whareora Cemetery Board caused by . the resignation oi Mr D. Jones. The Rev. W. R. Lapsley, 8.A., who has been Presbyterian minister of the Kaurihohere parish for several years, has received a unanimous call from the congregation of the Papakura Presbyterian Church. The call has j been sustained by the Presbytery of South Auckland.
