WEDDING

At the Waipu Presbyterian Church on April 26. Nona, third daughter of Mr and Mrs A. J. Brooks of Waipu was married to Kay, second son of Mr and Mrs Roland Brown, of Tara. The Rev. D. McNcur officiated, and Mrs Muller was organist. The bride was escorted into the (lowerdecked church by her father, accompanied by Miss Norma Brooks (her sister), and Miss Patricia McLean, her cousin, and Eunice Snelling. niece cl 7 tiic bridegroom, as flower girl. The bride wore a beautiful gown of fine corded velvet with yoke and fulllength sleeves of white marquisette The yoke was decorated with a striking design appliqued in white velvet. Her veil was held in place with a coronet of white ostrich plumes, and she carried a shower bouquet of cream flowers. Both bridesmaids were dressed alike in colourful gowns of tangerine French silk velvet, designed with cream collars and buttons down the front, and with full skirts. Both wore charming poke bonnets of cream velvet and carried muffs of the same material, decorated with tangerine feathers. The little flower girl, in white organdie and laee frock and bonnet, completed the bridal party. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr R. In the evening a wedding dance was held in the hall, which was prettily decorated with flowers and ferns. The -bride travelled in a grey threepiece costume with a wine-coloured hat and bag. The young couple travelled to tiie South Islam} 7 on their honeymoon.
