Escapee Gave Himself Up
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The remaining prisoner of three who escaped from Mount Crawford on Tuesday, Desmond Halliday, gave himself up at the Central Police Station this morning. Later he. Jesse Leroy Hines and John Andrew Hislop appeared before Mr J. L. Stout, in the Magistrate’s Court.
Hines and Hislop were charged with unlawful conversion of a car; Halliday with being an incorrigible rogue in that he escaped from prison. All three were remanded until June 12.
