Plan To Exchange Varsity Students
(PA.) DUNEDIN, This Day. A plan to help to foster international understanding is advanced by students of Otago University in a proposal to send two graduates annually to countries bordering the Pacific. It is estimated that the cost would be £SOO. which it is hoped to obtain by donations. Mr J. M. Fraser, student member of the council of the United Nations Association, who is organising this university movement. said such visits should be on a reciprocal basis. The scheme was intended to help break down national barriers and it was hoped that other New Zealand colleges would adopt it so that eight students would share in the annual exchange.
