Presented by WHANGAREI DISTRICT PROGRESSIVE SOCIETY Good, Wholesome Fun for Old and Young. 13 NOTICE OF PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF LOAN 'V'OTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei Borough Council at a Special Meeting to be held on THURSDAY, the 19th day of June, 1947, proposes to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of a sum of £3450 for the purposes of erecting two Workers’ Dwellings and purchasing land in connection therewith, the preparation of plans, specifications and supervision in connection therewith. It is proposed that such additional loan shall be secured by Special Rate of 0.0681 din the £ on the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Whangarei. It is proposed that the loan charges be met from the rentals to be charged for the dwellings. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Whangarei Borough Council not later than the day preceding the said meeting.
